DAL declines easily. Kreider isn't worth two firsts.

Where do you rank Robertson among Dellandrea and Harley?

He's as good or better than them.

Gotcha, so going by your evaluation of Robertson as being worth a 1st and your other evaluation as him being better or equal than the other 2 prospects in the organization. And the common knowledge that Dellandrea is regarded as (at best) around the 80th best prospect in the NHL, then at least 1 thing is true here:

Either it'd be OK if I swapped in Dellandrea or your belief is that there are about 80 prospects (perhaps more) in the NHL that are all worth (at least) 1st round picks?

If it's the former, I can work with that. If it's the latter, then that's inherently pretty illogical and we should probably move on (there's only 31 1st round picks in a draft, use some standard deviation for how those picks pan out and I'm sure you can see the dilemma)

Will you also not be trying to win for the next few years? I figured with the lack of goaltending in your prospect pool, you'd probably want a solid NHL starter and I don't think you need to be convinced of that. Coupled with the abundance of forward prospects you have, I figured Kaliyev was easy. Unless of course, you're trying to go hands off on Kupari, Turcotte, Fagemo, and just about every other one of your actually tradable assets...

I can't see Detroit trading Berggren for Hajek. Maybe Robertson or Miller.

I mean Miller might make sense for...Zadina lol. But realistically here, Berggren was out for almost a whole year with injury, Yzerman likes Hajek (he drafted him of course). He's prioritizing fixing Detroit D before F and it makes sense value wise.

What lack of goaltending? The Kings have the goalie of the future playing in the AHL right now due to overcrowding. Petersen is absolutely rocking the AHL right now and is the best goaltending prospect the Kings have seen in a long time (including Bernier and Jones). They also have Campbell locked up for two more seasons after this one.
18 year old Lucas Parik also looked impressive at development and training camps this summer, so there's some additional depth there as well. Thee Kings future at goaltender is bright as soon as they can figure out what to do with Quick.

Turcotte and Kaliyev are pretty much the only two forward untouchables right now. I could see them fielding offers for Kupari, Fagemo, and even Vilardi. Kaliyev is hands off.

You do realize that there's also prospects that have been drafted a couple of years ago and still are worth a first easily? From last three years there have 93 first round picks on the dot, and while some of them are not regarded as good as they were when they got drafted, some other prospects have risen in their place.

My stance is that all of Dellandrea, Harley and Robertson belong to that TOP93 of prospects that has been drafted in 2017, 2018 and 2019, although it's pretty impossible to determine an alleged position for every drafted prospect...

Point being, for Dallas Stars all of those three are worth easily their own first rounders. And they are not going to be moved for rental wingers.

I didn't think NYR would give up Miller but I don't think Miller is worth Zadina. Since they are all in different leagues it hard really compare them. All is the same draft year 2018 Zadina #6, Miller #22 and Berggren #33. Now after the draft position doesn't mean very much.

Kings already have cal Peterson in the minors as their future goalie. No way Kimgs trade kaliev for him. Kid is a scoring machine! He may actually have a shot on next years roster. But will most likely play in the AHL to get his feet wet playing against men

Unfortunately Kaliyev won't be eligible to play in the AHL next year, as he'll still be only 19 and will have not yet completed 4 years in juniors. It's the Kings or the OHL for him next year.

That’s right ?. Either way he’ll have a decent shot on the kings next year but I’m sure it’s back to junior
