Description

I'm sure the Leafs will at least make a run at Pietrangelo if he is unsigned. They won't have the best financial offer, but they could still make a 60mill dollar offer and sell him on playing with Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, etc... If he went for it, Leafs would have to have Sandin and Dermott step into top 4 roles and if the cap was too tight we could trade Hyman to free up space. If it doesn't happen, the Leafs try to get two mid-level Dmen at 4-5 mill each.

You could certainly argue that St Louis is Pietrangelo's home.
Forget the first pairing nonsense.... Leafs could have three potential good/very good LHD Reilly, Dermot, Sandin. Right side? Leafs are hoping Liljegren is ready, but two others capable guys at 4m might be more than satisfactory.

If you had AP it would be pairing 1A and 1B. Yes it is certainly early, but that would be the sacrifice of signing Pietrangelo.. Its all theoretical.
