Description
Dillon won’t be moved, so attempted a trade where he’s kept and still getting help upfront.

Dillons value comes from him being valuable to PD, he could pull something good through trade but that has to mean he’s alluring to the other team, when really he’s more alluring to the sharks. We keep him as it’s in our best interests if we want to win playoff games. Keeping our depth.

Now we’re presuming Bergmann plays well but nothing crazy, maybe 50GP, 20-28PTS; nothing to warrant sending him down as he isn’t bad but something that warrants a top 6 player. If it isn’t bergmann; whoever it is won’t be much above a 0.50 ppg in a best case whether it’s gambrell etc.

Price wise he isn’t as costly as Anderson, Bjork. They have texier and bemstrom up and coming; and I feel the price is somewhat close to what’s suggested.

I think you're overpaying for Jenner there by a lot.

Hell that package might get you Kreider instead.

Kreider is gonna cost more money and he’s older, I think Jenner can still be above a 40 point guy and won’t cost Kreiders UFA paycheque. Plus Kreider may just leave the sharks. Would you say take out Chekhovich or take out the 2nd?

Negative, if you take out Chek the 2nd would need to be conditional based upon team playoff performance that can reach a 1st. If Chek is in the deal I'd do a conditional 3rd that becomes a 2nd if the sharks reach the cup.

Jenner is what he is, is a 3rd line wing really gonna be a piece that puts you guys over the top?

I'd do a Kreider trade like this

        Sharks get Kreider and 4th

Rangers gets Melker Kalrsson, Chek and conditional 3rd round pick that could become a 2nd if the sharks reach the cup.

        Money works out that way.

Sorry I meant Kreiders is gonna cost more cap wise. And no but it creates depth, we don’t lose our 2020 2nd or a huge piece. Jenner’s 3 mil also leaves us with cap space for offseason. The moves helps us a lot in the sense that it creates opportunity and he’s shown flashes of top6 before but struggled recently, I like him personally but aware the move doesn’t move the sharks drastically but I say the same for Kreider, and other rentals who move the needle temporarily but I think Kreider isn’t worth the ask

If that’s Kreiders price it’s not terrible but I see a lot of rangers fans saying a first and a prospect are the start

I'm a Rangers fan.... I also witnessed half those morons say Zucc was gonna get us a 1st and a prospect.

Ranger fans overvalue their players almost as bad as Toronto fans.

Fair. I agree with that ask for Kreider you suggested. But what’s Kreider gonna ask for, if we can get him on a 5.5 for 5 years I’d be on board but that extension has to be discussed for myself to want the trade (if adding a additional third or something for the extension talks than I’m down), but if Kreider wants more than 5 years idk. And if he wants above 6 idk either as we need our cap within the next few years for Hertl down the road, labanc coming up, and rookies taking roster spots

At this point who cares, this is the sharks chance at a cup. Sometimes going all in and dealing with letting the player walk is what you need to do.

Im not saying straight up, clearly the deal would need to be bigger and I think its unlikely Ehlers even moves but that case is the only one im willing to give up a really good prospect for
