Unrealistic and Leafs will still lose in the first round

????? So the Leaf lose regular NHLers....Gauthier, Ceci, Harper, Hyman and Dermot and gain just Larsson. And this makes the Leafs Cup favourites?

Leafs still don't have a roster that can beat Boston or Tampa in a 7 game series. They'll probably make it past the 1st round though.

Uh...if the Leafs make it past the first round they will have to have beaten one of Tampa or Boston because that's the way the league has set up the playoffs.

I mean...unless you mean the Leafs are the number one seed in the league...to which I'd say...not happening. (still would have to face Tampa or Boston in a second round matchup).

Their top 6 is among the best in the league, just added an elite G and coach, and stralman adds stability to the defense. I think they'll have a great year.

You make good points. As a Leafs fan I hope you understand why I don't want to count out Boston. I figured most people wouldn't either but hey...you make a convincing argument.

Not only would they not be the favorites but the trades don't make sense, Larsson cost them a league MVP, they arent flipping him for that package, wpg is in cap trouble so they arent taking on ceci's salary...

You now have one of the softest teams in the league for a playoff against most likely boston
