I honestly would rather play Marincin on Leafs 3LD than Hägg.. and I dont think Marincin should be in NHL. BUT I like Konecny a lot. Kapanen too so thats a wash there in terms of value with Konecny slightly better. No need for those picks or Hägg in there.

I don't disagree, koneckny for Kapanen is almost a wash, considering production and probable salary difference, but not quite.

For Philly I added Hagg, as they have a logjam on defense. And for his faults, hes young, can play solid, takes the body, hits, blocks shots, pk, a unflashy physical (all things TOR could use) 3rd pairing guy who's a slightly better bet than Marincin. Hagg has moved around tons, different partners, played with scrubs, youngsters, etc...

(If PHI didn't have Morin, than they'd keep Hagg as 7th).

That Habs trade doesnt come close to touching Domi.

Leafs can't afford the 1.2m difference in Konecky and Kapanen. Leafs have lots of Haggs already. Domi for that?

Konecny and Kapanen may be a wash now but Konecny's ceiling is higher. The very real risk of downgrade with no clear upgrade in the trade makes it a no for me from the Flyers perspective.

Montreal does not trade Domi for that return. I can't think of a team liking the idea of getting older and worse at the same time.

The Flyers should rather keep Ghost over Nurse. Ghost has a much better contract and he fits in as a 3rd pair D on paper who can be used in every significant offensive zone situation for deployment. Factor in that Nurse may not want to play in Philly at all based on his Uncle's, Donovan McNabb, advice and it becomes too risky on the Flyers end to give up Ghost for Nurse.
