This is my favorite thing about AGM on this site. SO MANY add someone via trade or UFA and when you say they are worth more they come back with, "They aren't good so they aren't worth a lot." lol

If he was worth 4.5 to 5.5 mil he'd be signed, but sadly he's not even close to being worth that.

1.5 is fair for him right now. If he stinks it up you trade him if you can or waive him. No big loss.

He is waiting to see what happens with marner. He wants to re sign with the leafs. He is certainly worth 4.5m+.... I would say 5.5m-6m based on Myers contract.

The past three years you would think Gardiner is vastly superior to Shattenkirk. Gardiner's, not being signed is I think more a fault of his agent. Maybe they expected 6m X 6 but there just wasn't that much money go go around. Even non playoff teams are cap strapped. Like in "ring a round the rosy" almost all the other UFA found a chair, but Gardiner was the odd man out, still standing.

Not better, just comparable. Myers signed for 6m. Give him a bit of an rhd boost. So 5.5m-6m seems reasonable.
