Ottawa would be silly to not take that deal. I think both of those contracts are moveable and I would hate to see OTT rush Batherson and/or Branstromm into what is surely going to be a very frustrating seasons of NHL hockey in Ottawa. I'd much rather they play all the key situations during a winning season in Belleville.

I’m sorry for disturbing you all, but I have a question. Does anyone remember Ilya Kovalchuk at his peak? About how good of a player would you say he was? Was he on the same level as Rick Nash? Out of 99, how highly would you rate him at his best overall?

The Oilers already have Bouchard who is better than Schultz.

Yes, i remember Kovalchuk. He was better than Nash when he was at his peak. Now why do you keep giving us notifications? Also, why in this thread?

Kovalchuk was an absolute beast. But he like went through phases of high end play. Started out like OV where he could score a ton, then was more a complete player with NJ going to the cup.

Was still pretty young at that point but I think kovalchuk was better than Nash. Both were amazing talents and fun to watch though.

Thanks for the suggestion. The game has him listed as a playmaker, and looking at his stats, he has quite a lot of assists. However he’s also really physical and large, so I guess you can categorize him as that too.
