Would Edmonton actually want Strome back after how he preformed for them last year??

I would. Its a tale of two seasons and the coach/GM that he struggled with are gone. It's really a clean slate if you think about it. He was well liked in the room, he's a capable 3rd line center, and he should be a good bet for 30-35 points a year. I wouldn't expect more for a 3M player than that. His SP% was 3% in his 18 games last year, when he went to the Rangers it was at 22% and his career is 10%. So I'd wager there's a solid bet that he returns to 30-35 points.

I get the idea of reacquiring Strome but you can probably get him for a 3rd at most, wouldn't use Pulujarvi to get him.

I'm not sure the Rangers would do a 2nd rounder instead of a 3rd though so. But ideally, I'd do a 2nd rounder and Strome for Puljujarvi. Draft pick value = 2nd rounder + 3rd rounder for Puljujarvi. Sounds fair at this point.

I personally want JP to succeed here in Edmonton but the guy asked out and I don't like having that cloud looming on top of the locker room when season starts.

No I'm saying just send a 3rd for Strome and dont trade Pulujarvi for him at all. Trade Pulujarvis potential for someone else entirely.
