Description
EDM gets :

Brendan Gallagher
if he doest re-sign by summer 2021 EDM gets a 1st which is almost guaranteed as he's a UFA in 2022.

2nd that becomes a 1st if we win the cup

3rd that becomes a 1st if PJ is a top 6 player for us by 2022

Juulsen a top 4 RD prospect who plays Physical but responsible hockey and can be described as a stay at home D .

Ikonen who's a Gem that will need 1-2 more years in Finland if you want to make him a Center , if not then you could bring him to north america now and let him roll the dice . whether he plays wing or center he's a dynamic playmaker with vision who could learn a lot from RNH .

EDM gets potentially three 1st's if all conditions are met .

could i have given up more?
sure in a deal that doesnt have Gallagher i would but EDM fans are saying in other posts that any deal for Dri needs Gally in it .

I have a feeling any conversation involving Draisaitl, will include Kotkaniemi + one of MTLs top 6 wingers (Tatar, Drouin, etc.) anything other than that, oilers don't even listen. but conversely, I don't see a scenario where MTL moves KK, where he has the potential to be just as good as Draisaitl (The comparable in terms of potential for KK has always been a Barkov/Kopitar hybrid).

honestly you're right it does suck , any time we're expected to give up Gallagher for a trade because people under value him hard .

they treat it like you guys giving away Eberle , but Gallaghers a legit top line talent and got there without a legit #1 center not once but two straight years .
even for Drisatl i'd rather have Gallagher and the bundle above then Drisatl's high cap as Gallagher's likely to re-sign on a team friendly deal Again as he loves MTL.

but it needed to be stated since EDM fans Expect to be given Gallagher and four 1st rounders for ****ing drisatl lol

EDM Decline. 50 Goal Scorer for for 1 NHL ready, 2 prospect & Picks.
    Try this:
Draisaitl, Leon, Puljujärvi, Jesse to Montreal for Gallagher, Brendan, Danault, Phillip, Juulsen, Noah and 1st Pick in 2020 and Conditional 3rd Pick in 2020 (If Montreal make the cup final, than the pick turn into 2nd Pick) and Conditional 3rd in 2021 (If Gallagher doesn't resign, than the pick turn into 1st in 2021 or 2022 MLT picks)

Gallagher is one of my favorite players in the league, I always say he would be the perfect winger for McDavid, But center is still more important by a long shot, what happens if McDavid gets injured, Oilers will finish with 30 points as Nuge as number one center. For my Drai is untouchable as he can play everywhere, but I would give a lot to have Gallagher on the team.

i could deal with giving up Gallagher , Danault and Juulsen and the picks
but if we go that route we want the 1st to be based on the condition Puljujarvi plays 40+ games this season and then i could live with it

“****ing Draisaitl” would instantly become the best player on your team by a mile. Yeah Gallagher has a great contract, he’s a good player. But we are talking about a 23 year old 50 goal 105pt player. You’re god damn right the price is astronomical. Plus this deal has the oilers giving up Puljujärvi who yes it looks bad for right now but there ain’t a team in the league that wouldn’t take a chance on him.

I don’t know where you’re getting the four firsts from but you’re freaking delusional if you would rather have Gallagher (we’ll call him a top line winger even though I’d call him more of a “top 6 winger”) on a great contract, Danault who is probably best suited for a third line role but can get away with him on the second, and a first. (I see the Juulsen add as the part that gets Puljujärvi.) than Draisaitl who is one of like 6 players not named Ovechkin to score 50 in the last 8 years or something like that.

still not worth what some of there guys are asking .
playing with Mcjesus has its benefits , Gallagher without a Superstar center has 30 goals back to back
you saying he wont get 40 even 50 with Mcjesus ?

anyways we figured out something in a rational point counter point discussion
we're gonna take a hard pass on whatever it is you got going on there bud
life is to short to deal with people who cant simple communicate without making it dramatic

The superiority complex is infuriating. The oilers have no interest in selling Draisaitl. It’s Habs fans that seem to want to get him and you’re complaining that the oilers wouldn’t just give him to you “bud”

I’m sorry that you feel I “can’t simple communicate” ?

Enough has been said about the trade but is nobody gonna mention that he waived Kinkaid to Laval for Lindgren? I also don’t think it would benefit Suzuki or Brook to start in the NHL. Let them develop in the AHL and bring them up if they are dominating. Also, who asked about Ikonen?

How many players have scored 50 goals in the past 7 years? There are plenty of superstar centers in the league and NO player has scored 50 save Ovechkin and Draisaitl. To suggest that Gallagher - or any other winger - is in line to score 50 just because of McDavid is flying in the face of the facts.

And Draisaitl actually plays center mostly anyhow, he took over 400 more faceoffs than McDavid did last year.
