Absolutely zero chance marner takes less than 11m per year after the year he just had and the money they just gave taveres and matthews. I also 100% think kadri gets traded.

First two look good, but Edmonton doesn't give you Puljujarvi in that deal.

Must be, seems like everyone on here expects Marner to just receive the third-highest salary in the NHL for having one year where he finished 12th in league scoring. Dubas isn't going to let him sign for more than $10M and if an offer sheet comes and we can get four first round picks from it, I expect him to let Marner walk.

Doubt Marner will take a penny less then $10.5M on a long term deal; I could see $9.5M on a 5 year or less deal sure. Also don't think Kap and Johnsson both sign for only $3M...one or both will get more. Those two are very exposed to offer sheets if the max deal leafs offer is $3M. Someone would gladly pay up to $4M especially for Kap...sure Leafs can match but will they will so little cap space? It's more likely they will have to move Kap or Johnsson along with Zaits, Brown and Marleau.

He just led your team in scoring and has sort of produced in the playoffs. the kid is 21 and just put up 94 points. why should he take less when they just gave 11m to tavares and 11.5 to matthews. ide expect offer sheets right below the 4 first round pick threshhold where marner signs elsewhere because he feels slighted from a lowball offer from toronto.

dubas said he wanted a bottom pair D, mid round pick and prospect. I doubt he gets all 3 but could get 2 of those. depending if holland likes brown i could see that deal just for benning. they may try to get a bidding war going for puljujarvi instead of involve him with a trade like zaitsev. while it would sort of be a favor to take miller off vegas' hands for cap reasons, I still think bracco gets it done over borgman. i'd much rather do marleau and a 3rd (or prospect) and take back a guy like eaves to buy out. very much like the top 4 D and fwd lines, but Liljegren is still in question as to being ready. I'm sure they call him up, but not sure if he sticks and plays over 10 games. moore will most certainly see top 9 minutes, maybe even top 6 ( I hope!!)

Since Arizona is a poor team, Leafs would likely have to take on Hossa's LTIR contract for the Coyotes... and if giving away Bracco, a higher pick would make sense in return.

Marner below 10M for a signing just isn't happening I don't think. The VGK deal is pretty good.
