Just posted similar....

Drouin for Ghost seems a good fit for both and Brodie is a nice shot for a Ghost replacement and a RHander. And the Kapanen offer sheet seems good, brings speed to the team, but Duchene over Hayes isnt a bad idea, but with hayes and no subban, voracek makes that second line work. One of frost, farabee or radcliffe will make the squad.

So I like brodie and drouin and kapanen deals, but no subban.

Just cant see Subban and his 9mil contract coming over, short term, off year, etc...

I mean, come on. If the price to pay to land Brodie is a prospect and some picks, MTL would go after him rather than shed Drouin...

Fair point on the Brodie value. Rubtsov was a borderline first rounder. Better pick or another prospect may be needed. Idea was to get Brodie as the Ghost replacement without dumping one of the big 3 prospects.
