I am assuming that there may be prospects and picks involved, but if they want to dump a forward, then we're better off keeping Marleau for a year.

I mean the guy wants to be paid, he wants just as much as Matthews, and you get 8 Years for him. Matthews got 11 for 5 Years. Which means they didn't buy many years of him, this buys out 4 Years instead of buying out 1 like matthews. It's not as horrendous as you would think. It makes sense if you look at what matthews got in a deal.
