Description
Most of my ACGM teams have had Phil going to ARZ and JJ to OTT or anywhere but rumors are circulating that something like this could be in the works pending Phil`s approval. The Staal/Bjugstad part of the trade is speculation but is something that I could see fit for both teams. I can’t see Kessel/Zucker being the only player part of the deal I think it’s going to be a multi-player trade.

just what the penguins want, a 34 year old player..

The whole idea as it's been presented by people is just horrible. I highly doubt any of it is even true.
More click bait nonsense.
No way in hell Lemieux lets him make such a bad trade. He'd straight take the keys to the office from him and kick him right out the building.

Yeah that should be the idea. But it’s easier said that done. I’m going off of if this MIN trade is true. I’d prefer ARZ for Dvorak and Crouse. Yeah This team needs youth but it’s not in a rebuild. They are still in win now mode.

I can’t see minny trading staal either but who knows maybe this deal would swing them. Staal is older but for 2 years on a cheap contract he’s definitely worth it. As for Bjugstad, I really hope he does get traded he’s just not a good fit in Pitt IMO. He is a good player and could be a big part of a team but not here. His 4.1M could be used elsewhere.

I can see GMJR’s thinking. He shakes up the team like is needed, and gets draft capital while also getting back players in their prime who can contribute while the window is still open.

I can see GMJR’s thinking and disagree with you. I would also prefer to get Dvorak/Crouse or younger players on another team but this is a way to get rid of JJ and get players still in their prime and still get draft assets. Eric Staal is an unbelieveable player still and has only 2 years left on an absolute steal of a contract. I don’t think it’s a bad trade at all and I think Mario would be behind it. Pens are all in next 2-3 years to hopefully squeeze out another championship or two out of this teams window. Not gonna do that by trading Kessel for futures.

not going to do it by trading kessel in bad trades either.
Honestly, the more I see this, the more I think it's meant to rattle cages not a real trade. Like he's trying to smoke out what he really wants from someone else.

Detroit doesn't have room for Maata and since Detroit is rebuilding there is no way they spend a 2nd to get him.

He’s still really young they can’t have all 18-21YO’s. Good fit IMO

Maybe he is a good fit but he has missed a lot of games for a 2nd rd pick. If you want to take Daley with you as well the there would be room.

it is. 80-90 point wingers for 40-50 point ones. Where you swap one cap dump for another that's actually more expensive. It's a bad trade.

I think you’re undervaluing Staal and overvaluing Bjugstad. There are better deals to be had for sure, I’m just going off of the rumors out today. I’m just hoping it’s not straight Kessel-Johnson Zucker-Rask. At least this trade we got some draft capital and an upgrade at 3C with some cap help.

Im a big Dvorak fan too but Zucker is a really good player and he will only get better with Sid or Geno (who he can play with) .... Bjugstad just isnt getting traded - He is a good fit here bc he can play RW (where he is and will be ton better like in FLO) and 3C and he can play at 2C for a cpl games if 87 or 71 are out. PLUS - GMJR has been trying to trade for him for the last 3 yrs, he loves the dude

Yeah I doubt he’s gonna get moved I’m just kind of optimistic he will be. I don’t like him as a Center though for me he has to play the wing. Not fast enough to play Center, at least in Pitt. Wish he added a bit more bite to his game to considering his size too. Either way he’s not really a core piece so it’s not a huge deal. I’d start him this year as 2RW or 3RW and see how it goes and take it from there.

Not Fast Enough ?????????????????????????? Thats what i like about Dvorak. Dvorak also has alot of upside imo, thats why ARZ signed him to that deal... even tho he gets injured every other play, lol.
If the kid could stay healthy, he could be a very good NHLer.
