I’d say Kadri, one of Johnsson or Kapanen, an RHD prospect (not Liljegren though) and a 2nd or 3rd rounder maybe. Doesn’t really help their cap situation though....

EDIT: On second thought, that seems like a bit of an overpayment. I just don’t know who to take out

Jets don’t need more wingers their top 6 is set. If trouba is going to Toronto nylander should be coming back

With Lowry Little Perrault and Scheiffle playing centre I dont see Kadri as a fit in WPG. What they need most are inexpensive options at forward that allow them some roster flexibility.

I thought that Perreault played on the wing most times and Little is better as a bottom 6 guy. They don’t have an ideal 2C, which is why they got Hayes at the deadline. Kadri would be a “cheap” replacement, but again they don’t really have the space.

It's a terrible deal for the Leafs, since Trouba is going to a UFA in a year. Not a good deal for Wings either, Marleau at centre? No thanks. And two of those LWers are iffy NHLers?

Detroit isn't paying a 3rd rd pick to have Zaitsev dumped on them.

Please review the part where he signs a 7 year deal for 7 750 000.00 annually

YEs, they are "iffy". That's because theyre placeholders. Hyman is out 6 months. That said, many feel Marchment has an NHL future in the near future.

Trouba signing long-term in Canada is the opposite of realistic

I'm sure he wants to play on a team with a chance at dominating for the next half-decade. We'll see where he ends up.

I'm sure he wants to play on a team where his dad can enter the country

Wasn't aware of his Dad's predicament. Anyway, the exercise is more of what a realistic return might be for him. I wasnt predicting anything.

Sure I read, but everything Trouba has done since he got his ELC indicates he was UFA freedom. He's turned down bigger money and long term security to get a to year of UFA. Plus his documented person reasons for wanting a US based city.
Might has make lineup with Marner signing for 5m

Again, wasnt aware of the father's legal issue and how that would impact his decision. But a guarantee of 54 sheets to play in the top pairing on a legit contender --Leafs or otherwise-- might give him pause. Do you suggest he signs a bridge deal?

Are you kidding us? Lindell just got 6 x 5.8 from the Stars, And Trouba is miles ahead of him. Trouba easily gets $7.5 million if not more.

He just seems to have more baggage than most, but I guess 7.5 is realistic. I wouldnt want him on my team making that
