I do agree that Winnipeg wouldn't trade Trouba for this. But an unwanted prospect I wouldn't say that Carolina has been offering trades for him since they drafted his brother. Helm is still in the top 50 fastest guys in the league and yes his contract is high but that doesn't stop Edmonton and Buffalo from putting him on a lot mock trades.

Winnipeg fans expect McDavid or Larkin or whoever is the best player on the team along with 1st rounders back OR a 1st and 2nd along with the team's top 2 defensive prospects. It's laughable how they're valuing a 1 year rental (knowing that Trouba won't do Jets management any favors with a sign-and-trade deal). Even when you point out what Ottawa got for Karlsson they still expect the same and say the two are just about equal. While I can't say the Helm combination would work given his recent play: a roster player, a prospect, and 2nd plus a 4th should for a 1 year rental.
