Why? San Jose only won because of the 5 minute Major for “cross checking”. On that note, yes, it was a cross check but no where near a major for cross checking. It was unfortunate that Stasny was coming through at the same time and bumped into Pavelski causing him to fall and hurt himself, but there was no intent for Eakin to hurt him on the play. So unless Jones continues to play better then he has all season, I don’t see San Jose moving past Colorado, but I could be wrong. That being said it should be a fun exciting series none the less.

Eakin completely cross-checked him hard for no reason. Should it have been a major? That's debatable. You have to give the Sharks props for scoring 4 goals on that, though.

Either team could have won but they look very deep vs one deep line of the Avs, also a team shouldn't allow 4 goals while on the PK. SJ pp scores 4 on a PP showing how dangerous their specials team is.

Rule 609 states that a cross check resulting in an injury is assessed a game misconduct and a five minute major. I thought Stastny was dirty than the Eakin hit.
