Panarin and Myers are bad signings. Both are way too expensive for what we can afford over the next few years, and can easily be replaced in that time frame.
They will not switch Boqvist to forward. It takes significant time and effort to do so, and could very easily stunt his development. Terrible idea.
If I were to guess, I would say that Anisimov, Gustafsson, and one of Perlini/Kahun are gone by the deadline of next year, especially if we aren't contending for a playoff spot. Anisimov isn't the shutdown, faceoff winning 3C we need, and Gus is easily replaced by Mitchell and then Boqvist in the long term. Perlini and Kahun play similar roles, and there isn't enough space on the roster for both.
As for prospects, I would say it is likely that only Jokiharju and Kubalik start the year on the NHL roster next year, with the only other possibility being Entwistle. Management probably wants to keep guys like Krys, Mitchell, Hagel and Kurahsev on track with their development, which, for most NHLers, means at least the better part of a year in the AHL. It is also looking more and more likely that Barratt will return to Penn State for his junior year as well. I would guess that the opening night roster looks something like this, though I hope they add a free agent or two like Dzingel or Tanev:
Caggiula - Toews - Kane
DeBrincat - Strome - Perlini
Saad - New 3C - Kahun
Kubalik - Kampf - Hayden
Keith - Jokiharju
New Top4D - Murphy
Gus - Seabrook
