Description

I think the team that are the most likely to accept to trade a promising LD is the Flyers. We aren't in their division, and they will have 3 top 4 LD in the years to come (Ghost, Provorov and Sanheim). I know Sanheim currently plays RD, but his natural position is LD. They also have Samuel Morin, a former 1st round pick (drafted 11 overall). They have to sign Provorov and Sanheim this summer, so timing for this trade is perfect. As they won't have a lot of cap space, they'll probably looking for cheap player with high potential.

That's an over payment for ghost. I think Philly would actually be looking to add some good top 6 forward talent, some defensive depth and a pick, so something more like Tatar + Fleury and a 2nd

they have enough top 6 F, i think they hang on to ghost unless they get a very good offer

I think Montreal would rather keep Suzuki and Juulsen and draft a defensemen with that pick. It would suit them better long term.

Ghost would be a GREAT fit in MTL, but this deal is an overpayment IMO. MTL must hold on to its 1st rounder this year.
