Speaking as an Avs fan, no thanks. They have a bunch of smaller offensive minded defensemen for the future, they'll need Z's physical presence to complement that.

Why would Montreal trade a 60 PT winger for a 3rd pairing defensemen and a career AHLer? Montreal easily rejects

Brett Kulak fits really nicely on the 3rd pairing in Montreal. Trading him away for a worse defensemen and getting back a 2nd round pick + a **** contract? No thanks

well Tatar has only 58 points, not a 60 point winger (yet if he does hit that mark with one game left) and Zads isnt a 3rd pairing Dman...so maybe dont over exaggerate in an effort to try to make a point

Avs would turn it down for the fact that Tatar will be 29 next season with 2 years left on his contract and Zads is still an RFA and will be 24 at the end of this year. Ill take the Age and RFA control of a very solid dman who is one physical force for the Avs

Zadorov is a hard hitting aggressive defensemen that puts up around 20 points a year, It really depends on how much you value a defensemen like that, but for a team like Montreal that is built around speed, and quickness, Zadorov simply wouldn't fit here regardless.

Tatar has 58 points in 78 games, (.74 PPG = 61 Points in an 82 game season). It didn't over exaggerate whatsoever in what I said.

Tatar is 29 with 2 years left at 4.8 Million. If they truly wanted to win now, this trade would definitely benefit them. I could argue it helps them both long term and short term. For a team that struggles to ice 9 other forwards, they could really use Tatar's versatility.

you didn't say he was a 60 point pace player..you said he was a 60 point winger. and right now he doesnt have 60 points, just saying that is exaggerating on what Tatar is. I get it, It sounds better to say hes a 60 point winger instead of a 55+ point winger.

Tatar doesnt really do much for the Avs. I dont know if you are meaning the Avs are struggling to ice 9 other forwards bc if thats what you are saying that is not true at all.

Actually the Jets deal is interesting, Jets get needed cap space and Habs receive a 2nd rounder they could package to do a move at the draft and Kulikov's contract only has 1 year left, Habs don't have much signings to do this summer and won't be big buyers at next year's deadline, they have cap space to kill for that 1 year.

As for Kulak, ok he played well this year, but that's it - he's a 3rd pair d-man. They're very easy to replace and I'm pretty sure Bergevin and fans would rather see Juulsen playing over Kulak next year.

What gets in the way of that deal is Kulikov's NTC. Would he really waive to go to MTL? He is being used by the Jets regularly.

Lol I guess it's a sort of achievement to make a trade that both parties would decline laugh
