sounds about right. though i think the habs would prefer a younger LHD and a pick.

100 this, Välimäki has to be the price tag....

The problem with moving Danaultis that he's from Quebec and, just like Drouin, he has more value to the habs than to anyone else. MB would take so much heat from moving him that it would need to be a homerun!

Danault is worth more to MTL then what his value to other teams .
if MTL was to trade him though that would deffinately do it as Jankowski is a wet dream for Claude Julien and his ideal center.

Brodie's good but we're not looking to put another older player from someone elses top 4 again as it has not worked out in recent years. but we could play him then flip him when a youth prospect emerge's so the deals worth it but again i doubt they trade him as i've seen his leadership first hand in junior and he's a guy who leads by example .(perfect youth mentor for Kotkanemi's,Poehlings and Suzuki's )

I would be interested in Tierney, I just wonder if Ottawa will be gun shy about trading him just because he was part of the Karlsson trade

I think a trade is the best route. Either a winger to play on the second line to give them two legit lines that can score or a third line centre that is more advanced offensively than Jankowski. With Neal on the books for 4 more years I think the organization owes it to themselves (and their pocket books) to find a play maker for Neal. If they sign a UFA they have a logjam of forwards which isn’t the worst thing but still could effect the locker room

hard to say but more then likely he's a Petry type who will see his value in the early years come from his PP ability but as he mature's he could become a 2nd pair leader or even possibly a #2 D on top pair .

his size and speedy style favors him in todays NHL especially on CGY .
could be a good fit for MTL as with Valamaki already having his development stifled by LD depth of Giordano , Brodie and Hanofin .
this could make trading Kylington worth while move for CGY who is looking to upgrade a Jankowski for someone like Danult who can go in take up to 45-50% of the teams total faceoffs and win 52-53% of the Draws for a Sweet Heart Contract for at 3m the next 2 seasons .(ideal for a cup contender.)

maybe trade Danault for Jankowski ,Kylington and a Conditional 2nd in which if CGY make a WCF with Danault playing 50% or more of the 2nd becomes a 1st round pick .

CGY gets what they need without giving up their best prospects not losing any 1st round picks unless they have success with Danault a former 1st round pick.
MTL get value as Janko is the Ideal Center for Domi and Shaw as they'd destroy the league on 2nd /3rd line playing a high octane ,hard hitting , grit edge hockey.(Domi's a top line guys but the other 2 are third line guys but together i think its advantage domi giving him 2 solid faceoff guys to get him the puck .)

Kylington would slot in with Petry or Juulsen most likely a 2nd or 3rd pair guy getting his minutes on PP and PK because of his speed .

Good post.

Kykington is a good player, but with Gio and Hanifin and Valimaki on the left side, there’s no room for Kylington. Best move would be for Calgary to move him while he still has value IMO
