Panarin wants to sign in large market city like NYR, CHI, VGK, LAK or coastal beach city of FLA.

And they would pay more to keep these players.
It would be time to trade/buy out Dubi.
With Foudy/Texier coming in at center, it makes Nash expendable for a trade.
This would also open up salary for next year's Dubois/Anderson extensions.

With Dubois, Duchene, Jenner, and Sedlak (could resign him for $1M-$1.5M), they could use Foudy/Texier for depth/development and still have Foligno in a pinch if there were injuries.

Is there a chance he signs for NYI? Because why would he look to NYR but not NYI

Milano would probably also develop much quicker and thrive as well, he has a ton of skill and is very quick.

Columbus fans know best, but it really the best thing to do is sign Duchene and Dzinkel.? Seems like they have been underwhelming with CBJ. Is having those signees, being at the cap for what another 8th place finish good enough. Maybe a new direction even if means not spending to the cap this season.

Werenski might want more but he is not worth more than Jones at this point. Duchene has not said he wants more. He turned down 8X8 from the utter train wreck that is Ottawa not a team that is a playoff contender with this roster

I did not buy out Dubi because there is no reason to this year. Why take the buyout cap hit for the next 4 years if you have the cap space to pay the salary. He still skates hard, veteran leadership and wins faceoffs. I would definitely buy him out next year.

Duchene and Dzingel are starting to find there game with this team. I think it will build next season.

Torts is not the one on the ice who looks lost and refuses to shoot the puck. I am tired of everyone blaming Torts because a player is not playing to their potential. I watch every game and this is on Wennberg!

Honestly I wouldn’t sign Duchene.... he hasn’t been that good to risk losing out 2020 1st for and even with Duchene this team is a fringe playoff team, unless Korpisalo and Merzlikins step up in a big way next season, we could be losing a Lottery pick.... save the 8 mil from Duchene and put it to use next season with PLD, Anderson and others.

I suppose NYI would also be in play for him.
Outside chance a NJ, ANA, etc. A part of me suspects he wants to go back to CHI with his original team, Kane, Toews, etc.

I thought about what you are saying. We just have never had quality center depth, and will not have the needed depth next year with PLD, Jenner, Wennberg, Nash, Dubi, Sedlak, etc.
Top centers are hard to come by in the league.
And they are definitely necessary to make a strong push in playoffs (Backstrom/Kutznetsov, Crosby/Malkin, Matthews/Tavares, Bergeron/Krejci, Stamkos/Point, etc.).

Dubi is well past his prime to play above the 4th line, Nash really hasn't cut it with contributing to a dangerous (scoring) line, and Wennberg is just too overpaid for his production at this point.
Foudy & Texier are possibilities, but it would be so much better to get a top center like Duchene and ease them into the mix.
