Who is a better mentor for Boqvist than the guy he is supposed to be?

Boqvist is gonna need a more defensive reliable guy to show him how to play defence. I wouldn't worry about his offence, but he's terrible without the puck

I wouldn’t go after chaisson, it’s the Mcdavid effect. He’s a 4th liner. I like the karlsson add tho. Makes more sense than Panarin imo

I don't agree with grabbing EK due to the number of RHD guys the Hawks have, but going with it for a minute, you have to balance offensive d guys with deffensive d guys which you aren't doing here. A better pairing would be

Jokiharju - EK
Keith - Boqvist
Gus - Murphy
Seabs

or

Keith - EK
Murphy - Boqvist
Gus - Seabs

I think it is vital that we make a significant change to the defense we are icing. EK is the best Dman on the market, and I think finding a place for him is possible and highly needed.

Good. He's not bad for cheaper though. My main issue was that the term was too long. I wouldn't go beyond 2 years with Chiasson. 2 years with 1.5 million cap hit isn't bad.
