Either I’m completely lost in terms of who gets what or Nashville gets robbed, Tampa gets less robbed and Montreal commits a robbery

As per TFP https://www.thefourthperiod.com/trade-watch-list-top-30-2019,
Nashville would be willing to trade Tolvanen for a " top-end player/rental".
I believe Callahan would not break chemistry in NAS, and he always ups his game in the playoffs.
If not him, then who interests NAS ?

Are you implying Callahan is a top end player

Top end rentals would be Panarin, Stone, Duchene. Not 4th liners/ bench fodder.

Actually Nashville has said they would not move him for a rental. Stone would be the exception. Pretty much not going to move him at all. Rental or otherwise.

There is nothing about this trade that works. It’s a ripoff.

Plus Callahan can block a trade to half the teams in the league. He is not going to go willingly. This is his best chance to get his name on the cup.

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl/report-preds-wont-move-top-prospect-tolvanen-for-rental/ar-BBTYQKW <-- from 1 day ago. Nashville isn't moving Tolvanen for a rental. @Gofnut999 is correct. & Callahan is not a top player.. if a team REALLY wanted him and he would waive his NTC, he could be had for like a 4th round pick, not a top prospect
