If Blues Trade for Stone

Description
Now Ottawa has no chance of getting any of our Forward Prospect that include Bokk, Kyrou, Kostin, or Thomas. Doug Armstrong has not expressed any interest in doing that type of deal. Now Karlsson everyone was saying 2 1sts A 2nd Line Roster player whether D/F Top Prospect, Mid Prospect, and a Low prospect, and a 2nd. As we all know that didn't happen if Blues were interested in trading for stone this is what would be the ideal trade that would happen for Stone extended.
Transactions
STL
  1. Stone, Mark
Détails additionnels:
We have our chance at re-signing him and if he does re-sign the extra first goes to Ottawa.
OTT
  1. Barbashev, Ivan
  2. Blais, Samuel
  3. Foley, Erik
  4. Maroon, Patrick
  5. Nolan, Jordan
  6. Reinke, Mitch
  7. Sanford, Zachary
  8. Soshnikov, Nikita
  9. Choix de 3e ronde en 2019 (STL)

  11. Choix de 2e ronde en 2020 (STL)
  12. Choix de 1e ronde en 2021 (STL)
Détails additionnels:
A conditional 1st for Re-Signing him in the 2021 Pick.

Blais is a B
Sanford B (Playing like an A right noww)
Foley when healthy A but I consider him a B
Soshnikov is good young depth forward
Reinke is a Top 4 Defensive Prospect
Barbashev on the Blues 4th line, but Ottawa could get good production out of him on either the 3rd line maybe even the 4th line
2nd Round Pick as well
and the 3rd Round Pick

Oh Yeah. I added the extra prospects just to be a helper for Ottawa, but I don't expect Ottawa to get a 1st and a top prospect they aren't going to get any business asking for that type of offer.

I think Melnyk would explode at the thought paying those guys down the road. We'll take Bouwmeester, Allen and a 1st.

Not really Sanford can get a bridge deal and long term should only be around 2M

Blais might be a little more costly

Soshnikov isn't worth more than a Million right now.

Maroon I think around 2.5M is fair

Reinke could be more, but at this point I wouldn't know he isn't quite ready for the NHL Ice yet.

Foley I don't know I haven't seen him play on the roster a lot I have only seen him play AHL time.

Barbashev you could pull a rental, but I think 5x4 is solid 5 years 4 Million he could give solid production on the 2nd Line.

Oh, are these just potential offers or all at once? I'm confused. I thought we weren't being serious.

This is sort of a serious offer, but not at the same time cuz I don't think Ottawa would want to take Maroon.

Is Reinke a RHD?

Ottawa would take Maroon because they can flip him for another asset to a contending/fringe team. But, isn't Maroon a hometown boy for STL? Is Fabbri an untouchable?

I wouldn't be interested in trading Fabbri especially when he is showing promise every once in awhile, but we are taking it easy on him especially with 2 ACL tears.

This likely doesn't get it done. Ottawa is going to want a 1st and top prospect for a guy who is a top 15 NHL player even as a rental. Think along the lines of what Panarin would cost and that should get you close to a real possibility for Stone.

That's not likely. Karlsson didn't even bring the top prospect in Dallas wasn't trading Heiskanen, Vegas wasn't trading Glass, and Tampa said no on Sergachev...But all said fine on a first. You aren't getting that for him especially when they don't have any ground to cover. Makes it worth less to get him when you can just go after him and sign him in offseason. Ottawa doesn't have anything especially when Stone doesn't want to re-sign. Ottawa isn't going to get full value for him because they are desperate to get value back for him instead of just automatically losing him. So honestly this might not be the best offer, but that's the best Blues offer you will probably get.

You forgot that San Jose kept their two best prospects in the deal (Merkley and Labanc/Meir).

If Barbashev gets 4 million dollars I will eat my shoes. That would be so much money for a 4th line center, especially cause most players signed at that amount have scored at least 40 points in a season. He has 40 points in his career lol. That would be insane.

Regardless this trade wouldn't happen for Ottawa. Teams never want to take on like 7 players.

Right, but $4 million for Barbashev would be truly insane lol. IF that's his ask you let him walk 100% of the time.

Blues have one RHD prospect and you're trading him. Not to mention solid 4th line center in Barbashev and 2 first round picks, Sanford and Blais, plus the ever injured Foley. This is pretty bad.
Oh, and the fact Ottawa has 48 contracts already on the books and can't make this trade without dumping several players back. Fabbri, Schmaltz, 1st, and conditional 2nd based on the resigning of Stone.

Wait, you'd seriously pay Barbashev that much money? Here's a list of forwards that have signed around there. https://www.capfriendly.com/signings/all/all/forwards/1-15/3750000-5000000 Is he even remotely close to any of them?
