Gudas isn't worth a roster player. A 2nd tops for him.

It's Gudas, a prospect, and a 2nd for a roster player though... Gudas has actually been pretty solid this year and hasn't stood out much (which is a good thing).

He's a bottom pair pk guy. That isn't worth a whole lot.

He would probably fit right in as a #4 on the Leafs, has a RH shot, can be physical (especially when not wearing the O&B colors), and can kill the penalty. Friedman has quietly climbed up the prospect list for the Flyers as well, he certainly isn't just a throw in. The value might be a little off with the Flyers needing to offer a slightly better prospect or throw in a B level forward prospect but it's pretty close.

Zaitsev is exactly what Gudas is but a much better skater, isn't dirty, and can also QB a pp if need be. So no Gudas would be the same thing he is now, a bottom pair mean PK guy.

QB the PP? He has 0 goals, 5 assists none of which were on the PP for the year and last year also had 0 points on the PP. Not saying Gudas is going to run your PP but you are undervaluing what he brings to the table.

I am not at all undervaluing what he brings. He's the same player as Polak, Orpik, Gundbranson etc, a big physical #6 PK guy.

Yeah, because Zaitsev is better. Gudas is not needed in TO, what they need is someone who can replace Hainsey on the top pair. Gudas is not a top line guy.

lol no because I am a leafs fan. Gudas is not going to make the leafs elite, but Gudas replacing Zaitsev would make the team better IMO.
