That Pit trade got you back a late 1st and a 3rd essentially. While I appreciate the creativity, Gus can land a late 1st on his own and AA can land a 2nd rounder on his own so essentially that was a bad exercise. Beaudin is not coming up this year to burn a year of his ELC and expose him to the expansion draft. Same with Boqvist...won't happen. I do like the Keith trade but you'll need to add another piece like a defensive prospect in addition to retaining on Kruger. Not a chance Crawford comes back and then waives.

Because trading a 22 year old top line forward for a 34 year old declining defenceman and a bottom 6 plugger is the wisest of plans. The only way the TO trade could be worse is if you had Seabrook in there instead of Kieth.

this is the lineup for next year not this year . thats why panarin is signed as a ufa . beaudin and boqvist would not be on the roster until next season just like shalumov and nalimov can not play in the nhl this year

You know you can set the team for 2019/2020 and not 2018/2019...that kind of throws this all off.
