2 Year
Only dman Hawks should attempt to sign is a top 4 Right D . ex. Pesce . And then depending on the draft . A center and a winger with size or 2 wingers with size that can play in top 6 . Longterm contracts should only be given out to 26 to 28 yrs old .

Bruins TDL
Price has been set for a tdl center [ MONAHAN 1ST AND 3RD , LINDHOLM A 1ST +++ } it seems like a 1st rounder minimum . ZBORIL ????? He has no value he requested a trade and cleared waivers multiple times this year with nobody taking him when it was free , he has had 6-7 yrs to break into nhl and has not been able at this point he is a 1st round bust . Furthermore you are not allowed to have only a 20 man roster it must be 22 minimum , most teams carry 23 during a season . So your cap does not work .

Looking ahead
Canes hang up the phone and block sweeneys number . You can only go 7 years on a contract unless you are resigning a player so Lindholm contract is not possible . Dumba for 850k ??????? Perron will be 36 next year and Brent Burns 39 do you really think these guys put the Bruins over the top ?? They are both old and slow at this point 4.2 mil for Perron on the 3rd line ?????? He is on pace for 35-40 points this year . On the bruins he will not get pp time ahead of pasta and marchand which probably makes a 15 point player .

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaseyFlyman</b></div><div>Total value yeah I think CBJ have to take it, but unless we're getting a top-5 pick back or an NHL-ready 1RD U23 back, it doesn't make sense from an organizational need standpoint. And to be clear: he hasn't publicly asked out or requested a trade. He publicly asked for more playing time, which...yeah, fair.
Look this is just my opinion I am high on JIRICEK obviously . Age difference between RINZAL and JIRICEK one year . KAISER is nhl ready . I figured with the picks Cbj would be ok with the deal thats why i put it in the description of the ACGM just wanted to hear back about what it would take . All fans buy into the team hype and overvalue there teams prospects .
(Just quoting you here too, re: response above). Jiricek should still be a 1RD/top-15 D-man in the league when it's all said and done. Unless we're getting a player with that pedigree at that position back, we're just going to keep him, even if he requests a trade (i.e. Elvis, DeBrusk, etc.)</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AG_sweden</b></div><div>I feel for you if you think that rangers trade is even remotely sensible. Or you straight up clowning in that case you doing a good job!</div></div>
With Chytil done for the season .Rangers need center depth and scoring wingers Wheeler is horrible he can not keep up . Forth line is pure garbage . Goodrow has 5 points on the season . Defense is good . Goaltending is good . This trade gives them two 2 way wingers that can chip in goals and a center who is good at taking faceoffs and leaves the Rangers with 4 mil in cap space to add someone else at the deadline . If the Rangers do not get more depth and a center who can win faceoffs and chip in on offence they are out in the first round . Outside of Kaapo the right side is total crap . Vesey is a 3rd or 4th liner on a cup team . Wheeler should be in a retirement home . Pitlick is a 13th forward at best . You have to give to get especially at the trade deadline . How does buying out Goodrow a year from now or at the end of the season make the Rangers a cup team this year ?? Panarin is 33 Kreider is 32 how many more great years do they have left . ONE WAY OR ANOTHER THE RANGERS WILL PAY TO DUMP GOODROW . And it will cost them 1st rounders or top prospects to get the cap space and the players they need for a cup run . Lets wait and see what it costs . It is usually a 2nd rounder plus plus for one year of a bad contract Goodrow has 3 years left after this year { 5 points in 48 games } . Most important thing in the cap era is cap space if you want to contend , just ask the HAWKS, LIGHTNING, TORONTO OR EDMONTON .

You don't understand sarcasm . I do not care what the hawks get back in return . Give them back Hughes dirty jock strap for all i care . Jersey needs dmen desperately Foote might never play in the nhl ever again . HAMILTON , SMITH , SIEGENTHALER are all out injured whats not clear about needing depth on defense ????? Both of them would be starter in the top 6 and would stay in the top 6 even after all the injured dmen are back . They are both better then Desimone and Bahl and like i said the alleged rapist { FOOTE } will probably never play in the nhl again .

A bottom pair LHD, a top 4 RHD having a great freshman season with Minnesota and 2 firsts. Dang. 4 NHL pieces > 1 despite draft pedigree.
Babouie I feel like maybe run your trades by some Hawks fans first before posting. These are not close. At all.</div></div>
My opinion thats all . Hawks need righty D prospects they are overloaded on the left side with defense . Will murphy be re-signed after next season . If all goes well Hawks are in the playoffs 2 seasons from now and a contender in 4 or 5 does Murphy fit the timeline ?? No . Jiricek is 20 yrs old number 2 or 3 potential maybe even number 1 right hand dman . You gotta be willing to pay to get that . Good righty top dman do not come around every day .

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>Hawks won't be anywhere near this active. Hawks lose the Edmonton trade big. Campbell takes the 1st and either Akey or Bourgault to dump. That means the Hawks are swapping all four of their players, including Murphy half retained, for the other prospect and Ceci. Hawks come out on the short end of that big time. Rinzel and two 1st's is also an overpay for Jiricek. But I doubt Columbus is trading Jiricek anyway. And the Rangers aren't giving up a 1st and a really good prospect to dump Goodrow and add three mid level rentals. That's an overpay by the Rangers.</div></div>
JIRICEK came out publicly that he is not happy and wants out . JARMO K , will not stand for that coming from a player especially a rookie . As for the RANGERS look at the trade they are moving down 2 to 6 spots because they get the hawks 2nd this year and they get rid of the next 3 years of GOODROW and the rangers get playoff experience and center depth for a cup run .

Really ????? Kaiser is nhl ready and was a 2nd rounder 3 yrs ago . Rinzel was a first a year and a half ago and he is having a great ncaa rookie season and was on WJC 2024 team . Plus 2 first rounder picks . Thats the equivalent of 3 firsts and a solid nhl ready dman . I am curious what CBJ will end up getting for JIRRICEK now that all the teams know he is not happy and has publicly asked out .

Speaking for the Hawks . YES . Wirtz flies out Jones on his private jet the instant the trade is signed . Anderson gets to much hate in MTL just like Jones in Chitown . It's the pics that I like for the Hawks that Calgary pick will be a lottery pick next year or the year after I think it's safe to say Flames go full rebuild this year or next . Barron is still young so is Newhook . Meanwhile Hawks are overloaded with D prospects . This in my opinion is good for the Hawks .

Bud stop being such a Homer . If Perry wanted to sign with the Leafs he would have . No one taking Reaves and his idiotic 3 x 1.35 mil contract from TO . And the Hawks counter with used diapers , a bag of used pucks and a couple of 7th round picks for Mathews and Nylander how does that sound to you ???

I would not go after Mathews . Hawks will have to hand out some very big contracts if there prospects pan out . Giving Mathews 14 mil at this point in the rebuild would hurt the team longterm cap wise like the idiotic decision to sign Tavares was . Ever since that signing the Leafs have had to dump all sorts of depth players and pics . Bedard ,Korchinski ,Nazer , Reichel , Seth Jones ( no elc ) , Moore , all these guys ELC's will end within the same two or three year period . And then Hawks are back in cap hell . The Leafs had to dump Kadri after signing Mathews ( double kadri salary ) were the Leafs better of after this signing ???

Brodie at this point in time right before training camp will cost the Leafs at least a 2nd rounder to dump his 5 mil cap . Radysh scored twenty goals last year and makes league minimum . That should be worth at a late 2 nd rounder . So yes this trade makes no sense for the Hawks .
