<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ColonelX</b></div><div>When you need that much explanations to back you trade up it's a sign that the trade just isn't working out.
-Chiarot has played on first pairing in Winnipeg and Montreal and has shown that he belongs in a top 4.
-Chill down KK's barely older than some prospects in this year's draft, people expected too much and too quickly from him.
-In what kind of dynasty is Danault ''just'' a third line center? According to hockey-reference out of any player who has played min. 30 games this year Danault ranks third league widein ''Corsi-for% 5v5'', who are ahead of him? Gallagher and Tatar. That just shows you how dominant of a center he is while playing against opponents top lines, he won't be that flashy center but everything he does is perfect.
-Primeau isn't in Price's shadow because he isn't ready yet. He'll most likely get a shot next year (2021-22) and we'll slowly get to a 50/50 goalie tandem in 2023-24, by that time Price's contract will be done soon and his prime will be behind. This would be a troubling situation if Primeau was ready right now for a starting job.

Please stick to your team.</div></div>

in his 7 year career he averaged a little over 15 minutes a game with almost no pp time the only time he played as a top 3 was when winnipeg was decimated with injuries on defence . ENSTROM . BUFF , MYERS , MORRISEY AND TROUBA were all infront of him . at least argue with the truth not made up info ( fake news lol) 7yrs left on Prices contract . Like i said playing players out of position out of a lack of depth and desperation . Name one team in the nhl where Danault is a number 1C ???? His numbers are inflated because he plays pp , pk , with the habs best wingers and 1st line minutes . Dont get me wrong i love Danault i think he is an excellent player . A slightly below average ( scoring wise ) 2nd line center or a really amazing 3rd line center . David Desharnais was never in any stretch of the imagination a number 1 C but was played as one in montreal out of desperation and a lack of depth . His career numbers in montreal were much better because of playing pp and first line minutes with habs best wingers . ( sound familiar ) ??

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>MTL doesn't need Maatta I'm pretty sure of.

That 2nd MTL trade doesn't make sense for either side IMO.</div></div>

Just because your played out of position as a 1st pair dman ( chariot ) does not make you a top pair dman he was played there out of desperation and a lack of depth he is and always has been a number 5 or 6 dman . besides petry and weber the habs do not have another top 4 dman right now . Romanov is a rookie with very limited offence . ( no one knows exactly how he will work out this year ) KK is starting to look like a bust . Danault is a very good quality 3rd line center being played out of desperation as a first line center ( lack of depth ) . Domi pouted when put on the wing last year and the habs might trade him , he is rfa no contract talks have been in the news and apparently he wants a big contract extension . Suzuki looks like he might be a star . Strome looks like he can be a 60 - 75 point center with size . Beaudin gives montreal a top two prospect dman to pair with weber . Suzuki and STROME as your 1 and 2 centers with Danault as 3c gives montreal youth some size quality and depth down the middle . Carey Price has 7 yrs left on his untradeable anchor of a contract .Trading Primeau to fill two of the habs BIGGEST holes is good for the habs . Matta actually pairs up with Petry perfectly in the top 4 leaving Romanov a chance to play with Chariot and get acclimated to north american hockey

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kotkaniemi15</b></div><div>Montreal isn’t interested in Maatta. We have enough 2nd/3rd pairing defensemen.

The 2nd trade makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Our 2 strongest positions are C and LHD, so it makes no sense to add more of those players. Primeau is essential to our success, Price won’t be a starter forever, and we need someone to back him up and take over when he gets older. And by adding Stome we end up taking on a bunch of salary and screw up our cap situation. We aren’t interested in the slightest.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Going to the games is a silly comparison and babouie shouldn't bring that kind of thing into a debate, but what he said about Mete and Kulak is true. DeHaan is a clear upgrade to either one...no debate and Maata arguably as well.</div></div>

No what it does mean is that i follow the team . You have to realize allot of people on this board do not get to see habs games ( rarely are habs games broadcast nationally anymore ) . Habs defence is horrible period if it was not for Price saving there asses on a nightly basis there numbers would be even worse . There goalies are constantly getting shots from the inside the slot and many times get 2 whacks or more at rebounds . besides weber and chariot no one clears the puck from the crease . price has been overworked out of necessity for at least the last 6 to 7 yrs . He has many down games in the last few seasons because of the overwork and the amount of pressure placed on him out of desperation . Playing a player in positions and giving them more ice time then he should be getting inflate players stats . case in point Danault , on no other team in the nhl is he a number 1 center but out of desperation he is played as one inflating his stats and ice time . ( david desharnais ) Chariot had a great season so far in montreal and is a solid dman he is not a top 2 dman on any team in the nhl he is 28 yrs old at this point he is a known commodity . All of a sudden he comes to mtl and he is a top 2 dman . ( out of desperation ) This is the same mentality that causes the habs to destroy players careers . by rushing them to the nhl and playing them in positions that they should not be playing in or are not ready for they do this out of desperation because of the lack of talent and lack of development in the organization . ex. Kotkaniemi . ex. Last year before the season started bergevin was saying schlemko would be tried out with weber in the top two ( reference tony marinaro ) In short just because a player fills in as a temporary top 2 dman or top 6 forward it does not make him one . Another example jean gabriel pageau in ottawa because they had no one else out of DESPERATION he was played as a number 1 center and had a career year does that make him a number one center??? ( his numbers were inflated because he played with there best wingers and got all the pp time ) ROB BROWN scored 115 points 49 goals ( 1988 ) playing with mario lemieux after being traded from the penguins his highest point total was 42 and he never cracked 20 goals again . Galchenyuk and drouin out of desperation were played as number 1 centers on the habs . I do not think you can find any one with any kind of hockey sense who would say that they are number 1 or even number 2 centers in the nhl probably not even 3rd line centers . This is meant for sebybbq . The only reason i said i live in montreal and go to many of the games is it adds more weight to what you say most people on this board especially americans only get to see there own team and only get to see other teams 2 or 3 times a year

Just asking because i have season ticket for 10 years now. If that the case that would make me the supreme leader</div></div>
