Krug is scoring at a .80 pace the last season and this season combined. Schenn is scoring at a .70 during the same time period. How a forward who scores less than a defenseman can be thought of having so much more value as he, like you think in this trade, is completely ridiculous. Schenn isn't the elite defensive forward from Philly, that is Couturier. It's either that people have the two mixed up or they are rating Schenn based off of 1 season (2017-2018) instead of either his entire career or the last couple including this year in which he's been poor.
