Big time pass on that Avs trade, Compher is such a Swiss army knife for that team, Kaut is going to be a solid NHLer and a 1st...way way way too much to give up. Big fan of Nuge but that's a massive overpayment. IMO

Nuge for Barrie...yeah then you might be talking how both teams an help eachother out. But Compher Kaut....no way that is 1 step forward 2 steps back for that forward core

I see a lot of these deals not happening. Philly doesn't want Talbot. I don't think TB can take on any cap space on their moves. I think Colorado declines.

You clearly dont have a clue on that Tampa move. They get Chiasson back who only has a 650,000 cap hit (expires this season) while getting rid of Callahan's contract which has a 5,800,000 cap hit for this season and next. This openly gives Tampa space and a lot of it too

my point is that TB doesn't want a player back in that trade. They need to dump a lot of salary. If anything they want picks only

Chiasson is on pace for 38 goals and is on a league-minimum contract that expires in June. Don't tell me that TB doesn't want him - EVERY playoff team wants this guy.

eh I seen him play in washington. I wasn't impressed. Didn't know he was having a career year though. I don't check his stats. I just know he's never been all that good.

He literally makes only 650,000 his offense could dry up completely and it would be a win still for not taking any significant space and for having 5,800,000 next year when Callahan is off the books. No one is giving picks that matter for Callahan when he has negative value

You dont seem to know a lot in general when it isnt your own team

dude he's making 650k at 28 because he sucks. Hell if you knew anything about hockey you would know that. Don't get too excited he had a lucky streak. He's still the bottom feeder that got signed to a league minimum 1 year deal.

player that "sucks" at 650 K that doesnt affect the cap at all and is off the books next year >>>> Callahan a player that sucks that also has a 5.8 million cap hit the fact this even has to be explained is telling me that Western PA's education system is ****ed beyond belief if you are too dumb to understand this.

the fact that you think every team is chasing a guy who is 28 on a 1 year deal at league minimum says it all. He's bounced around for a reason dude.
You don't really get it. TB has depth, he would be lucky to play 4th line there. What they don't have is cap space. You think you are adding something to them. I don't.
Even that little bit of cap space can be the difference between them getting someone who can contribute more on a cup run considering they are only 3 million under.
Hell I don't even know what you are so made about. Keep him on the oilers. TB could use the picks for cost control in 2 years as they will be pressed to the cap for a while.

Trading Callahan would free up any cap issues the fact that you dont get this means you have to be the dumbest person to ever set fut on these boards when they have Point to sign. Tampa has 7 million in cap space if they move Callahan whether Chiasson plays is irellevant the benefit is they get Callahan off the books who not only gives them a lot of space to acquire a top player but to also make re-signing Point to a massive extension easier. The fact that you dont understand this is a testament to how dumb you are kids like you need to get off the computer and ask for mommys permission next time you decide to be a clown.

if you had half a brain you would realize they need to move more than 1 player with a high contract to make room. Even in your own post you are trading out Miller, J.T. at the same time!!!
You would trade out Miller but hey lets keep around a bum that couldn't get but a 1 year minimum deal contract. Yeah I'm sure he put up a few points with McDavid carrying him on his back, but here is a history lesson. He sucks. Which is why he's on a 1 year minimum deal. No one wanted him, and for good reason.
