Nylander is too high of a price tag for the Sabres unless the Rangers are going to eat up the cap of another player on our roster (Sabotka). Unless the Rangers take on his contract, no chance do they get Nylander. Far more likely you would get someone like Guhle.

I like how everyone completely undervalues him.. he's on pace for 68 points and has been a monster since the beginning of november. 23 points in 21 games.
Just an FYI, if he keeps up his pace from November on, he will have 80 points for the year and roughly 57 by the trade deadline (60 games in) [more than Hanzal, Eric Staal, Nash, Stasny, Vermette, etc and look at those returns].

Ways I would adjust trades:
WPG: Hayes for Ves and a conditional 2nd (on WCF or resigning)
Car: Hayes w/ extention and a 3rd for Hamilton (Fox is probably going to FA and he grew up on Long Island-- just sign him then)
NSH: Zucc for Fabbro

I wouldn't do the other trades. Nylander and Puljujarvi haven't proven they can play consistantly in the NHL. If we do a trade with Tampa it should be for Raddysh or Foote and find a way to make the cap work for Tampa.

It will be interesting to see what kind of return Hayes brings. He’s averaged 48 points per 82 games over his career but he’s having the best offensive season of his life in a contract year.
