Wow, a proposed trade for Tarasenko? How original right? Tell me what you think. This would be ballsy for both sides, but the money works and all of these players are trade-able assets once Mantha comes off the IR.

Wings would get a true scoring winger, a young defenseman to bolster their aging core, and a good prospect forward. With kronner's deal expiring at the end of the year and Dunn being under control until 2020, you'd probably have enough cap space to take a shot at Trouba (especially if you fire Ericsson into the sun at the end of the year). Allen may be subtraction by addition, but him and Bernier could tag team through the end of the year. If both end up being useless, can them both and move on.

In return, the blues would gain two solid wingers that are under control for 2 years that they'd own the rights to and a good defensive prospect. The big prize for them here is the likely lottery pick, something they don't have because of the O'reilly trade. They'd also ditch Allen and his contract and get an upgrade at goaltending, even if it turns out to be a temporary one if Howard signs elsewhere in the off season.
