dont pay attention to the contract willy has, couldn't figure out how to trade him without signing him first lmao. wayne simmonds is on the last year of his deal and has declined pretty quickly as far as production goes. which is why it makes sense adding a playoff vet with size and speed to play in the top 6 would be a great help for a lengthly playoff run, and his next contract will be cheaper than his current 3.975AAV cap. would make zero sense for him to not waive his NTC, with a possible trip to the stanley cup finals, oh and he gets to play on austons wing.

i dont think you who is The Ghost
One of the better contract of the league and you simmonds too?
The problem is that the leaf wait to much to trade Nylander, so his value is just decreasing with the hours
They should have signed him or trade him before the season start

can we stop pretending like wayne simmonds is still an all-star callibar producer on the top 6, isn't he on the 3rd line right now? ghost is the essential part of the return, not simmonds. if you haven't noticed his decline over the last 2-3 seasons then you've been living under a rock

as far as value is concerned nylander = ghost. he's not a superstar, and neither is ghost. if anything, outsiders looking in on the leafs treat william like a superstar, along with toronto media giving him attention.

I get criticized on here for using complicated stats, so here are some simple ones. Just looking at "number of thirty goal seasons" and "hits," Simmonds is better than James Van Riemsdyk.

It's entirely possible that Philly trades him, and just as possible that they package him with Ghost for Nylander and a first and a 2nd and a defenseman and a top prospect.

Don't how why you see his value is decreasing by the hour. Right now who has Nylander rights can have him playing for 5 years( minus 2 months). If the Dec 1 deadline passes, the team still has his NHL rights for four years.

use your advanced stats, i study them as well. also, the number of 30 goal seasons you've had doesn't determine the value a player you are today. its your production today, that determines your value, today. as far as the rest of the package is concerned, we wont be giving up all of that with nylander i could tell you that right now. a more realistic package is nylander, brown, and a late round pick (4th or lower). thats it.
