Maybe. Lehkonen makes sense but Scherbak...dont really see a spot for him. No room for him on the NHL roster, would be a healthy scratch on a healthy Avs team. Greer and Kaut in the AHL looking so solid and ready to make the jump soon.

Don't know if Zadorov would be a good fit as Weber's partner on the first pairing. Would need someone with better foot speed, no? for sure he would become Habs best LD, but he still might be best suited for the 2nd pairing with either Petry or Juulsen.

as for the trade, in terms of value it's fair. It's basically 1 for 1, Scherbak doesn't add anything at this point. I'd still be against moving Lehkonen though.

not interested in another LD contract until we move out 2 of the 4 others in Alzner ,Benn ,Schlemko and Ouelette its just not practical as to many contracts is why we cant call up and why Kulak couldnt be called up despite all his success in the AHL on PP with 11 points in 18 games as the top LD for Bouchard trusted in all situations .

What about just picks and forward prospects? No Lehkonen. Avs have a pretty full roster now anyways and a lot of D prospects, right?

Joni Ikonen (2017 2nd rd pick) + 2019 2nd rd pick (either MTLs or CBJs) + your pick from Benn or Ouellet (just to replace Zadarov roster spot on the depth chart for this year)

Id prefer a young roster player in return. I expect the Avs to make the playoffs this year and would rather get someone who could help the team immediately and in the future.

No thanks. This all stems from Dreger and Toss Pot Tom Hunter. No need to trade Zads, and those guys are just going to take up room that would be better used on other players.
