Pretty solid for the most part... Not sure about Eichel (imo he might just be accurately rated). Also I might throw Backstrom and Jaden Schwartz in there, but if not, still pretty solid.

I like some of the picks. But I really don't think that a few of these guys are "underrated". Tarasenko was literally on a cover of an NHL game. Most people think of him as a top 5 right winger in the league. Byfuglien makes 7.6 million dollars a year. And he's in a ton of highlights reels. Most people know he's got great offensive skills and abilities. Would never consider him underrated. And the list doesn't include guys like Faksa, Dvorak, and John Gibson. Who I consider to some of the most under the radar, underappreciated, and underrated players in the league.

Players I would take off: Simmonds, Sanko, Eichel, Giorodano, Provorov, Huberdeau.
Players I would put on: Palmeri, Lee, Tuch, Gallagher, Hjalmarsson, Savard.

I think an argument can be made for few other players on this roster that they are not underrated.

This team is basically those of skill who don't quite get the recognition of elite players, wouldn't necessarily say underrated. But when I think underrated players, role players also come in mind. Those players are not appreciated enough such as Glendening, Tanev, Jarnkrok.

I absolutely love this. Especially Nico and Tarasenko.

Eichel is tough, lots of hype coming in, which turned to hate when he signed a monster deal and didnt keep pace with mcdavid, matthews, mackinnon. So he is a very talented almost ppg franchise center. If thats where it ended, he wouldnt deserve to be on this list. If he ends up with ppg this year and the sabres improve, he wont be on the underrated team anymore. Barkov should probably be on here, seems like hes just now starting to get some love. Ristolainen isnt very good in his own end, which tends to be a problem when you play d. Hes got all the tools and puts up respectable offense, but having all the physical tools on a terrible team has just forced him to take 26 minutes a night. I wouldnt so much say that hes bad, hes misused, and that will get better if the sabres ever get a defensive rhd to take some of the tough minutes away. I wouldnt say underrated though, lots of the criticism he gets is backed up by advanced stats- if youre into that stuff.

If anything Risto, Buff, and Dubynk are overrated. Especially Risto.

Anders Lee belongs.. Gets no love and had 40 in 17-18, 34 in 16-17
