I'd do that deal, but I don't think EDM would. If they end this season and Heinen has 50+ point season, while Puljujarvi has a 20-30 points season, then MAYBE Edmonton thinks about it. I imagine though it would be part of a bigger deal than just a 1 for 1.

Did anyone see Heinen play last year at all?.... Personally I think Bruins would be stupid to do this.. Pully hasn't really shown he can play.

It's funny because if these guys were Bruins (Bennett, Puljujarvi, Virtanen), fans would be crying about how they passed on X,Y,Z and would be calling for them to be dealt for scraps while they still had value.

You know I'm a big Heinen guy, but I'd do it. I look at a guy like Pool Party and question how much is him and how much is it the organization. I mean we're talking about a team that has had how many #1 overall picks in the last 10 years and they are still struggling to do anything. They have quite possibly the best player in the game and still didn't make the playoffs last year. The one thing Boston does lack is a big winger with skill. I love Heinen as a player (as I've made it known), but if Pool Party comes to Boston and hits his potential, Heinen for Pool Party would be a steal.

So what? Does that mean he's gonna get 60 points this year? What if Heinen is a 40-45 point guy his entire career? Puljujarvi will end up being a better pure goal scorer and a player the Bruins need now as opposed to Heinen who is good, but the Bruins have too many similar players.

Or maybe Puljujarvi is what he is... A bust high draft pick who never really hits that next level.

I agree with that and the fact we would have a clearer idea by seasons end. The Bruins are lacking that big right hand winger with skill that they've been missing since the days of Horton and Iginla and failed to successfully replace with the likes of Hayes and Connolly. Tough to say what Puljujarvi is right now and is still tough to tell what Heinen is but that's what makes it a gamble and I think it's one the Bruins can afford to make a bit later down the road. You also know Chiarelli is on the other side and isn't afraid to trade away former top picks just because of their draft spot.
