    ["trade . . . was suggested by a Leafs fan"] No, it wasn't. At least, not by a knowledgeable one. Aside from value, Fast is a RW, of which Toronto has 2 excellent and 2 very good ones. Somebody might have suggested Gardiner for Pionk and the second, but most of us have settled on keeping Jake for this year and letting him walk. I'm giving you five stars because your Team Explanation is absolutely right: there is absolutely no chance that the Leafs accept this offer.

    Lol as a Rangers fan, this would NEVER happen. Nylander is leagues better and more valuable than either of the NYR players

    Bruins fan here - I think Toronto should do this. Forget trading Nylander for a Stud Dman or resigning him, trade him for at best a 2nd pairing dman, but probably a 3rd pairing guy
