AYFKM?!?!! Granlund AND Brodin for Pacioretty??? Wow...

this is not a fair deal at all. The Sens get Brodin for Peanuts, and the Wild give up way too much for what is effectively a lateral move from Granlund to Paccioretty.

I guess it depends on the cap crunch MIN is feeling. They are getting a 10-20P upgrade in their top six and shedding 9+mil (minus whatever extension is negotioted with Pacioretty). OTT ìs only involved as a facilitator but could upgade Z.Smith to Colin White so that the pick goes to MIN.

So patches is worth zack Smith when trading with MTL but when flipped to Minnesota hes worth brodin and granlund... why doesnt MTL just cut Ottawa out of the deal?

Only if you want to shed cap. Swap out Granlund for Coyle for no cap change (once Pacioretty extends gor 7 mil)

That's not the way 3way trades work. If Cap friendly had a 3way trades option i wouldn't have to split it. Ott is not trading for Pacioretty . If we could get him for Smith why flip him at all?

no way in hell minnesota is giving up brodin and granlund for pat and a 3rd. wild are not in that big of a cap crunch to trade 2 young players only to have to sign pat who is 30+if I'm correct to a larger 7+mill deal for 5 or longer. they will be more then happy to keep the younger players and deal with the cap when needed to resign granlund. just a terrible trade for the wild. Granlund is finally looking like the player we have hoped he would.
