Hes under the free agents list, like a lot of the people I added. It's too hard to predict what players will be protected so I stuck to free agents mostly.

If Johnson stays on the team by next year, hence the Karlsson deal, Gourde would be the first to go. With that money, he better be the next St. Louis, otherwise not worth. Crazier deals have happened, he's primed to be Marchessault. Otherwise great roster!

I love the team but don't understand the criteria for creating it. It doesn't seem to be a projected Seattle squad because there are 4 of our L.A. Kings on it. Is it all UFA's for 2020? You have to use the Team Explanation to tell dolts like me what's going on. (And by the way, I'll never forgive Lombardi for the Lucic and Sekera debacles.)

And I would pick Lombardi because he knows what it takes to win. He knows what pieces a team needs. Although yes, the Lucic thing was unfortunate and a little silly, but you have to understand, the kings lossed Voynov, Stoll, and Richards in a span of like a year and those were 3 incredibly important pieces in each cup run. He was trying to make due without those pieces and keep the hopes alive, but unfortunately it didn't work out. It doesn't take away how great of a general manager he was in my opinion. We still made the playoffs with Lucic, just couldn't get over the hill.
