Its very easy for one of us to simply buyout a player but to an owner that is literally a last ditch effort and not looked at lightly, especially big ones like Parse's contract. No business looks lightly at throwing money away for nothing. Parise although has slowed down significantly, brings intangible value to the organization.
Many companies would prefer an expensive asset that brings small returns (with the possibility that it gets better) than a medium expensive asset that brings no return at all.
