Description
this deal makes sense.

all you trying to trade us a D sound dumb.
we didnt just trade Sergachev for Scoring to trade away our highest scorer for a lesser D.
(i mean jesus not only your team can benefit stop sticking MTL with your unwanted trash )
Transactions
MTL
  1. Kossila, Kalle
  2. Larsson, Jacob
  3. Choix de 2e ronde en 2018 (ANA)
  4. Choix de 2e ronde en 2019 (ANA)
Détails additionnels:
1/2 picks become a 1st IF ANA makes the playoffs (yes IF)
2/2 picks become a 1st if ANA wins a cup

ANA when they brought in Henrique chose not to develop Kossila as a Center likely moving him to wing next year like Raekell .
ANA is the only NHL team with 4 former top line centers in all 4 center positions with 5 center prospects over a point per game .

ANA
  1. Pacioretty, Max
Détails additionnels:
ANA has tons of Center ,Tons of D
Perry and Silverberg for scoring Wingers

a move like Patches gives their team gives Patches a guy who's never had access to 1 top line center in his career access to 4

Yeah Kossila is a C, but at 25 years old he's hardly a prospect and the chances of him blossoming into a top 6 C are small.

Shoot higher my friend...

i disagree on this one i think you're undercutting him based on circumstance not skill

if he was in any other system he'd be an NHL player by now
i know youth prospects and like i swore Danault would be great for us , i will be right about this to
same as Deslauriers ,Byron ,Shaw ,Jerabek,Radulov and Mete in recent memory while EVERYONE swore they knew better

the fact that he was in a Leadership Role with our Goalie Prospect Lindgren is the main Motivation here along with his puck moving ability .

to quote the scouts

''A strong finesse forward that makes the players around him perform better. Exhibits excellent mobility and natural skating ability. Proficient puck skills and puck control at high speed. Great work ethic and can play up and down the lineup in multiple roles. Excels in an offensive role, however, and has all of the tools to produce. ''

and that is exactly what MTL needs to feed our wingers.

I don't see the Ducks trading Larsson. Beauchemin and Bieska are gone next year, and Larsson is a long term solution at RHD Is Patches really need by Ducks that much? I figure there might be other teams more needy of his services.

yes he's a LHD which is why i wanted him as you have Lindholm and Fowler who are undisputed top 4 and
Beauchrmin lead ANA in blocked shots on third leaving Bieska likely to be replaced by Welnski who i originally wanted.

my original deal the first time was Terry,Welenski and the picks
i was told Kossila is expendable Terry isnt and same for Welenski .

before this i didnt even know who Larson was i just picked him at ANA fans recommendation
as asking for Welenski pissed them off :P

i wanted Terry for his size and skating personally but honestly would take any of your 5 point per game development centers
MTL has 2 centers and 2 wingers playing center with our main center at age 35 UFA likely being traded

That's Billy for that correction. I've been thinking he was RHD for years. In the 2015 draft the Leafs had traded down thinking they could grab Larson, but the Ducks jumped in ahead of the Leafs and got him.

yeah the leafs drafting never makes much sense to me :P

for me i just targeted him because ANA fans lost it when i tried to grab a RD suggesting Larson
otherwise i still wouldnt know who he is to be 100% honest :P

Well they got Marner, Dermot (who looks really good if his first 10 games) and a hopeful Bracco, just in the first two rounders, so it wasn't a bad draft. Larsson has played for the Ducks but I believe he suffered a knee injury last year, maybe it in the AHL which set him back a year

yeah but look at TML entire drafting history
if they get a top 5 pick they are good but when they dont its some hits with tons of misses

Gauthier
Biggs
Percy

even when they draft ok its bad
case and point Nazem Kadri
you know who they passed on?

Ellis
De Hann
Kulikov
Leddy

given the constant problems with the D they should know better then to keep passing on quality players for Centers who all leave

i mean 2011 was the worst though 2 picks in the first and both busted
they passed on Morrow ,Danault,Raekell and Namestnikov(meaning TML could have had Raekell and Namestnikov )

Don't bring up the "Dark Ages" when Ferguson, Burke, and Nonis, refused to Leaf the MLG offices or restaurants/bars and actually scout players. That time has passed. I used to go to some games at the Hershey Centre when Percy played. I never thought as him as an NHLer and certainly not a first rounder. Montreal is going through the same angst the Leaf did previously. Poor drafting. Oh, and you're statement about "constant problems with the D". Well it seems to subject of that people that don't know about the Leafs always harp on. Leafs GAA is right in the middle of pack, and that with playing rookies and having the top Dmen out with injuries, Certainly not an issue with Leaf fans. Sure the bottom pairing was weak earlier the year, but isn't most teams, bottom pairings, that's why they are bottom pairings.

Look at Montreal a GAA of 3.12 8th worse in the league and compare to the Leafs. And the with a high priced defence of Weber, Petry and Alzner and especially next year's Price contract. Talk about not getting bang for the buck.
