Description
Jonathan Willis at SportNet wrote an article listing the market trade values for the Leaf's deadline assets, and it sounds pretty darn good to me. He has Polak as a third rounder or less and Brad Boyes as a sixth rounder. I'd be happy to give up a package of picks to get those guys. Re-unite Boyes and Bergeron and get some D depth with Polak. Surprisingly, as bad as they've been, Toronto's prospect pool also has some major holes, and one is goalie. Add on that Reimer could be on his way out, and the Leafs must be desperate for a goalie of the future. They'd jump at this deal.

Well, take out that first round pick and maybe it could be deal. The Leaf prospect pool is actually looking pretty good if juniors are considered. Subban? Graham Sparks is at least as good as prospect as goalie as Subban. There are many UFAs available next summer who could fill short term any NHL team goalies needs. Jump at this deal? Giving up that first rounder would make Leaf fans jump from their high rise condos.

I think you meant jump AWAY from this deal.

Sorry, not a chance we give up a 1st for Subban. We are gathering picks not giving them out.

Also, try a 2nd for Polak cause that is going to be the minimum imo.

Hey Palhal, his name is GARRETT Sparks. And I agree. I think Subban is a bust.

Watty, thanks for the Garrett. Don't know if Subban is a bust, but no way the Leafs are going to trade a top pick...maybe one of the two Finn wingers. Think Sparks will be Leaf next year, and Bibeau a heavy workload next with the Marlies and hopefully he takes over from UFA Bernier in September 2017. Sparks and Bibeau for awhile.....Like Resch and Billy Smith....Fuhr and Moog.

Laughable. How can you say Subban is a bust after 1 NHL game? His AHL numbers are good, especially for being a 'less than stellar' team.
