Heinen, McAvoy, and Carlo all will be up at the same time. So you're essentially dealing Cehlarik, Spooner, and a 1st for a 1.5 year rental. Ugh, it's tough because this is actually a package I'd move for Simmonds (not sure Philly would), but at the same time, it's a lot to give up for a guy who will be looking for a big raise (you probably can't give him) and even if you did somehow afford him, he's a powerforward who will be what, 30? You're locking into another player who could fall off at the end of the contract.

I'm talking about making a serious cup run for this season and next. Bergeron and Krejci window won't be there forever. Simmonds will walk after next year and I am fine with that. Losing Spooner at some point is a given imo. Cehlarik is a tough pill to swallow because I think he is a very good player but probably find it tough for a spot on the Bruins top 6 and Philly would also accumulate another 1st.
Good deal for both teams. Short term Bruins win deal, long term Philly wins deal. Similar to the Peverley for Wheeler deal.

We'd need a better prospect than Cehlarik. Someone like Vaakanainen. Simmonds is a 30 goal scorer who will play 1st line minutes on the powerplay and the penalty kill, is a solid 2-way forward, and a great leader.

It's actually a pretty fair deal. Philly gets 2 good young players that they have control over. Plus, a 1st round pick. Bruins get a 2nd pair RW to play with Krejci for the next 1.5 years.

Why would you rather have a LHD than a winger at this point given your roster? If you forget which round Cehlarik and Vaakanainen were drafted in, they are more comparable except Cehlarik is closer to making an impact which is what I'd think your team would be favoring. Cehlarik was more than twice as good as Heinen last season in their brief stints. Neither scored much Cehlarik kept up with Krejci and Pasta with his passing.

As for the Mock maker; this is okay. I could go either way on this one as I love Simmonds, but I like our future assets too and subtracting Spooner from the PP could hurt. This is going aggressive at the playoffs, but I don't know if I'd like to remove Cehlarik from this type of deal. I feel his value has risen substantially from his drafting, so I'd rather offer a 1st and a 2nd and leave Cehlarik to replace Simmonds if Senyshyn doesn't work out. I'd even more want to make it 1st 2018+ 3rd 2018 + Spooner + Vatrano and call that enough, even though it may not be.

this is actually not a bad deal at all. I would do this if I were Boston. I do think it would have to be a slight better prospect than Cehlarik though. It's not a knock to Cehlarik (he's a very underrated prospect with skill), but Philly looks at Simmonds as a fan favorite, key guy so they would probably want a more shiny prospect. I would think - Spooner, a first, and (hate to say it), but probably Zach Senyshyn. Philly would get a current top 9 forward, a late first, and a right winger prospect for Simmonds. I like the idea, however don't think it'll ever happen haha

Not a huge fan of the deal, the prospect coming back doesn't really interest me, nor will he contend for a long-term role with the team.

A conversation starter for me is either Anders Bjork or JFK
