Yesterday, @rja40 shared some personal info in the Pickles post, and it was real nice to see some of the responses made by you guys. This man is currently going through something much tougher than dealing with a blindsided Tom Wilson headshot, and coming from someone who has dealt/is dealing with a similiar situation, and all the god awful hospital food that goes with it, I can tell ya that your showing of support probably helped the dude in ways you can't imagine..

We all come here for different reasons, and we all have different situations, but on some level I'm sure we all do it to get a reprive from the real world, real life curveballs that get thrown at us. At the end of the day that's what pro sports is all about.. to give us a welcomed reprive from the slumps in our lives. I think its its worthwhile keeping that nugget in mind when we post, cause those binary 1s and 0s on the other end of your keyboard could be a 12 yr boy, or a guy like @rja40 or me dealing with another serving of bland, soggy, microwaved brocolli for supper.
