Description

Edmonton has a real dead cap problem right now, we have 4-5 deals on our team that just aren't worth their deals or just have become overpaid for their role. In total it's

Campbell = $4.3 Million Dollars Overpaid (Lack of talent)
Nurse = $4 million overpaid (Lack of talent)
Ceci = $1 million overpaid (Lack of talent)
Kane = $1 million overpaid (Injuries have begun to take a toll on production)
Kulak = $850k overpaid (Good player, tad overpaid for the role he plays)

That's essentially over $10 million dollars in cap not being used correctly, as a team we are so so lucky that Skinner, Hyman, Bouchard, Drai and Nuge are all making up for it by all being $1-2 million dollars underpaid (Or in Bouchards case almost $5 million dollars underpaid). A cup winning team can't have that much cap invested in players that aren't worth their deal, players like Campbell and Nurse in particular are going to have to be dealt with or it'll get ugly real quick.

Trading Nurse is gonna be hella-tough, for all the reasons. He has an NMC three more years, the length makes it hard for you to retain, etc etc. It's a tough spot, believe me I know (though my case is not as rough as yours).
