Jarvis has been better this year, wich is understandable because Caufield is struggling offensively and coming back from an injury, but he has been worse the 2 seasons before. However, Jarvis is better defensively. So Caufield is superior offensively, Jarvis defensively and offensively this season. Overall, Jarvis is better but it’s a much closer comparison than Caufield and Necas.

Jarvis is drastically better than Caufield. Necas is the closer comparable. Jarvis is better defensively, offensively, as a goal scorer, as a physical presence (this sounds so stupid for a dude that is 5'10, but he HAS to lead the league in hits against guys who are half a foot taller than he is) . It's not close, plus, your favorite defense, Jarvis is younger. He's on pace for around 70 points this year, which is better than anything Caufield has done.

To get Jarvis, you have to start with Suzuki. There's nothing else worth Jarvis on the Habs roster.

I’m taking Jarvis all day. I knew right when he got drafted to Carolina, that he was going to be a good player. Caufield is good, not denying that, but Jarvis has been better all around the ice, especially this season. He was good in the last two years, but has turned up his game a lot this year. I’m excited to see more of him in the future. Especially if he got traded to Edmonton haha!
