Cap Dumps and UFA signings

The Edmonton trade is terrible for Chicago. This team is already sorely lacking top six talent and you want to trade away one of them with retention for an albatross contract, a guy who spent almost the entire season injured (might as well keep Hall if you like injured players) and a late 2026 1st? And you want to add Soderblom who could turn things around next season?

Just seems unnecessary from the isles POV. Pick will be in the 10-13 range, if they need the cap space that badly they can just buy out lee

If Lindholm signs for one year, it'll cost 9 or 10 million. Duclair is likely to re-sign in Tampa. And doubt the Hawks want to run that back again anyway. If Edmonton is using a 1st and Akey to dump Campbell, they'll want all the cap space. They won't want Hall or Soderblom. And the 1st and Akey should be the minimum the Hawks take anyway just for taking that Campbell contract.

No way the Hawks do either of those deals.

Edmonton would have to add another 1st round pick to dump Campbell and get Hall with 50% retention.

To dump Lee and his two remaining seasons at $7m would require a mid 1st round be sent with him as per Puckpedia, so there is no reason for the Hawks to send anything but FC back to the Islanders.

Both of these deals are pretty bad for the hawks, and I think Nazar will be in Rockford next year
