While it would be cool to have both of them, this just doesn’t solve anything for either team. With the emergence of Lapierre and Leonard on his way, the caps don’t have room for a middle 6 forward. A top line forward would be a better target. Anaheim has plenty of young D coming up and surely won’t want Jensen especially given how up and down his season has been.

Eh, maybe? If Anaheim wants to go hunting for a big name RW this off-season we need to clear out a roster spot, and a couple seasons of a serviceable RHD is probably a decent exchange.

Question is, is Jensen still serviceable?

Can’t speak to WAS’s needs, but ANA has only Gudas signed beyond this season at RHD. That said I’d love to see them get someone who can reliably play on their top pair like Pesce/Roy. If they swing and miss in FA, I could totally see them considering this (admittedly I haven’t watched Jensen much lately)

Jensen had a bad start to the season, was pretty decent for like a month and a half this winter, and now he’s looked like garbage again. He had an amazing season last year and has been pretty solid since the 2021 season, but something is really off this year for him. Possibly age catching up with him.

I’d be intrigued by a Ryan Strome add and I wouldn’t be upset with this trade as is, but I just think the caps should aim higher is all.
