Risto isnt even the most used bottom pairing guy on the flyers. Hes not gonna be a 2nd pairing guy on the leafs and he's still 4x over paid at 4 mill

The leafs wouldn’t even use a first to get risto half retained it’s robo and timmins or they don’t touch it

i honestly think this team is worse off after these moves than before. Risto feels like a disaster waiting to happen at RD2, but it's okay because Philly doesn't retain 4x$1.6M for that return. Detroit also passes because I think they get more than Robo & a 5th for retaining on a guy who's scored at a 50 point pace since the beginning of last season. And giving up McMann & Timmins for basically nothing feels like sacrificing depth for no reason. They're not stars but they have some NHL experience and can fill in without killing you if someone gets hurt. I'd rather have those guys when I'm making a playoff push than a pair of picks that have a very small chance of ever turning into anything.

Detroit passes, Sprong at $1,000,000 is worth a lot more than Robertson and a lousy 5th round pick.
