Where's the 1st round pick heading to Anaheim for the 50% retention on Frank Vatano? Considering that Detroit is heavily linked to him and doesn't need retanrion.

The Henriksson-and-Jones-for-Vatrano exchange has been suggested before, and we reject again for the same reasons we rejected it earlier: Henriksson is small and left-handed, and Jones is a LhD; our needs are at RW and RhD. Given the paucity of decent prospects at those positions in your pool (other than Gabe Perreault, who obviously is out of the question), I think that it's hard to construct a trade with New York that works. About the closest I've come is Ryder Korczak plus your 2024 first -- unless you want to give up Braden Schneider, which also seems impossible.

That's an entirely reasonable and realistic possibility. I had noticed Lamb in the prospect pool before. But as someone in a similar thread has noted, NY may prefer to have retention on Vatrano, too, so that would cost extra.
