I hear rumblings that Det is a big player for Zegras but I’m not sure he is a Yzerman type of guy. Either way, I think these are fair value trades, anything more than I’d rather just keep what we got

Can't see either team doing the Määtta trade.
Rather not spend Berggren for a rental.
I want Reimer off of this team badly, but I imagine a team like Edmonton would need retention, which isn't gonna be worth it

Marco Kasper has one meaningless game in the NHL and is a half-a-point player in the AHL.

Trevor Zegras has 200 NHL games under his belt and is a three-quarters-of-a-point player in the League.

They aren't close in value.

I'm not saying that Kasper doesn't have a sky-high potential, because I think that he does. But right now, he's pure potential. Zegras is a proven scorer, and even if his defense fails to improve (his analytics were better this season than any other despite his injury), his defensive deficiencies will be substantially mitigated by moving him to LW as Greg Cronin has begun doing.
