Marco Kasper has one meaningless game in the NHL and is a half-a-point player in the AHL.
Trevor Zegras has 200 NHL games under his belt and is a three-quarters-of-a-point player in the League.
They aren't close in value.
I'm not saying that Kasper doesn't have a sky-high potential, because I think that he does. But right now, he's pure potential. Zegras is a proven scorer, and even if his defense fails to improve (his analytics were better this season than any other despite his injury), his defensive deficiencies will be substantially mitigated by moving him to LW as Greg Cronin has begun doing.
